Annabelle awoke suddenly and looked at the clock nearly 11 a.m. She was late making breakfast. Panic set in as she rushed downstairs, only to find her own body sitting at the breakfast bar.
“Finally. I don’t like to be kept waiting. I’ve got things to do today,” said the guy, putting his foot up on the stool and snapping his fingers toward the kitchen.
Annabelle hurried in, making coffee and eggs before placing them in front of her body. He looked up and smiled.
“I had a very enjoyable night last night. Did you hear?”
Annabelle’s eyes filled with tears as she looked at her own face smiling back at her. He was ruining her life, using her body for God knows what, and there was nothing she could do. She left the kitchen in tears, but he simply carried on eating.
After an hour or two, she heard her body calling for her again. On the edge of a breakdown, she slowly made her way upstairs and found him in the bathroom, holding a makeup brush.
“I have a lunch date soon, and I need you to make me look beautiful I spent a little to long in the shower it so easy to lose track of time with a body like this.”
Annabelle slumped against the wall and slid to the floor. It was too much. She couldn’t take this anymore being stuck in this body, living this nightmare.
Her body turned to look at her, set the brush down, and sighed.
“Happens every time.”
Annabelle watched as he walked toward her, looked down with a face of disgust, and then stepped over her, heading toward the bedroom.
She lay on the floor for what felt like ages. She didn’t even move when, twenty minutes later, her body walked past her again now fully dressed, heading out on a date with some stranger.
All seemed lost. Eventually, she staggered into the kitchen, opened a bottle of wine, and took a long swig. She drank and drank until the room spun and she collapsed onto the sofa.
For three days, Annabelle didn’t see or hear from him. She began to wonder if she would ever see her body again. Slowly, she started to feel a little better. She decided she wouldn’t let him see her like that again. She would be strong. She would hold onto the hope that one day she’d get her body back.
