Lucy and Anne were very much in love, living in a lovely apartment in the centre of town. As Lucy sat at the breakfast bar eating, Anne lay on the sofa reading a magazine. She was distracted, though, by a bright ball of light flying past the window.
“Hey, babe, can you see that strange ball of light outside the window? What do you think it is?” said Anne. But when Lucy looked over, it had disappeared.
“Nope, can’t see it. You feeling okay, babe?” said Lucy, though Anne was adamant she had seen it.
Just then, the ball of light flew through the window nearest Lucy. As she looked up to say something, it shot straight into her chest. Her body went stiff for a moment, then shook… and then moved.
As Anne spoke behind her, Lucy’s body began slowly exploring itself. Anne kept talking, unaware, while Lucy’s body stood up and started walking toward her with a strange smile, one hand resting on her chest.
Anne suddenly felt a smack on her backside and spun around to see Lucy standing there.
“Oh, babe really now? Oh my!” said Anne.
Anne and Lucy embraced on the sofa Anne could not get over Lucy what had gotten into her as they made love of the sofa.
After Anne fell asleep, Lucy lay beside her, watching her with a faint smile. Then, without warning, the light burst out of her chest again and shot back out through the window.
Lucy jolted, confused, as she looked down at Anne sleeping next to her. They were both on the sofa, tangled together. She sat up slightly, her eyes scanning the room.
Their clothes were scattered all over the floor.
Lucy frowned, trying to piece it together.
“What the hell just happened…?”
The light flew back toward an apartment three floors above and shot into the chest of an unconscious man the same man who had used his astral projection powers to possess Lucy’s body.
Maybe next time, he would try Anne’s body.
And there were plenty of other people in the apartment block he could possess as well.
