Marcus was saying goodbye to his friends. He had just had one of the best Dungeons & Dragons games of his life. As he walked towards the bus stop, he saw the last bus pulling away. He tried to run, but a guy of his size had no chance of catching up, so he had to walk.
While walking home through a very rough part of town, he was shocked when he saw Doctor Octopus appear in front of him. He ran to hide as he watched him pick up a car and lob it towards.
“SPIDER-MAN!!!”
Marcus could not believe it. He loved Spider-Man and had long wished to see him defeat one of his nemeses. The battle carried on, and Spider-Man was winning. Doctor Octopus was on the ground, and Spider-Man demanded his surrender. On seeing this, Marcus emerged from his hiding place, but suddenly Doctor Octopus pulled something out of a pocket and shouted.
“Ha ha! Spider-Man, say goodbye to your body!”
He pushed the device, and suddenly a bright light flashed around them. Marcus was blinded for a moment, and when his eyesight came back, he was looking at Doctor Octopus lying on the floor.
“What’s going on?” said Doctor Octopus’s body.
“What? This is not Spider-Man’s body!” said Doctor Octopus from Marcus’s body.
Marcus looked down and saw he was wearing Spider-Man’s outfit. He then watched as the police arrived and thanked him for stopping Doctor Octopus once and for all. He looked for his body, but it was gone.
Marcus was now watching a weak Spider-Man struggling to tell the police what was happening, but they weren’t buying it. Marcus then shot a web from his wrist and laughed. The next thing he knew, he was flying through the city, using the webs to pull himself from building to building.
He stopped on top of a building and pulled his mask off.
“Peter Parker?” he said, seeing his reflection.
He knew Peter Parker. He had gone to school with him. He returned to Peter’s house, where his Aunt May greeted him. He went up to his room and looked in the mirror at his new body.
“I’m Spider-Man… I’m Spider-Man…”
Weeks later, he had not stopped being the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. He was still stopping crime and had just stopped a very attractive woman from being mugged by four horrible men. He was now down an alley receiving his reward. God, how he loved his new life.
